- Contract intelligence ships. Every invoice is checked against its active contract: volume tiers, NTE ceilings, freight terms, tariff pass-through.

- Enterprise foundations land: SSO, tenant isolation, item identity resolution. Teams start handing over their full procurement pipeline.

- Anomaly detection deepens. Freight overcharges, formula violations, and piece-count drift get cross-referenced against contract, history, and peer vendors.

- Reading every document, every email, for every customer. Catching what nobody else has time to.
The problem was never laziness. It was volume. An AP clerk processing 200 invoices a week cannot catch every overcharge. A system that watches every order from PO to payment is how they stop slipping through.
